Anne Coyle from the parish of Ardboe is undertaking the certificate course in Theology, Adult Education and Pastoral Ministry and is in the second year.
“I am thoroughly enjoying the course! The lecturers have all been excellent and experts in the subjects they teach. I enrolled in the course in the hope that I would learn more about my church and faith and in doing so hopefully gain the knowledge and skills I would need to volunteer more effectively in my parish and pastoral area. So far my experience of the course has exceeded my expectations!
As I work full-time and am a busy wife and mother, it has been difficult at times meeting deadlines for assignments etc. However my family and friends are very supportive and in fact curious about what I am learning. Often I arrive at class on a Tuesday night weary after work but I always leave class on a ‘spiritual high’!
I have met a lovely group of fellow learners; we debate and support each other in a safe environment so it has been well worth the effort as it has been so interesting.
